versus the boxer

Image
25 May 2020, 945PM Originally posted on Quora somewhere in Nov 2019. I am pretty good karate ka. One who practices karate. I can hold my own against other karate ka. Even fought this guy once to a draw. Although I think I should of won. I can hold my own against Muay Thai fighters, although it isn't easy. They are viscious, use ample of elbows and knees. Let's not forget those damn lower kicks. Owie! Heck, even defeated a yoga-pants-wearing girl, before. Yup, that girl! But a boxer? Damn! They are a whole different breed. They take fighting very seriously. They are taught many advance skills early on in their training. The guy I took on? He was a MONSTER! There are a few answers here say that wrestlers can take on a boxer easy, I can't confirm that cause I have never came face to face to one yet. But when you think of wrestling, don't think of the Rock or Hulk Hogan in WWE. Think of wrestling like in the Olympics. Think of a tough guy from Russia who eats NUCLEAR for br

puff the magic dragon

Image
23 May 2020, 1018PM Puff the magic dragon lived by the sea And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honali Little Jackie Paper loved that rascal Puff And brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff Together they would travel on a boat with billowed sail Jackie kept a lookout perched on Puff's gigantic tail Noble kings and princes would bow whene'er they came Pirate ships would lower their flags when Puff roared out his name A dragon lives forever, but not so little boys Painted wings and giant's rings make way for other toys One gray night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more And Puff, that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane Without his lifelong friend, Puff could not be brave So Puff, that mighty dragon, sadly slipped

bus ride

Image
23 May 2020, 12.38PM The ride sometimes can be only 2 stops, other times, it can be more than 20. It stops at each junction and traffic light, delaying the journey temporarily.  Other times it would bounce uncomfortably on every speed bump, upsetting the short nap. But no matter how long or short is the journey, no one deserves to ride the bus alone.

ever stay up late in bed?

Image
22 May 2020, 1227am Do you ever stay up late at night? Wondering, if anyone, maybe that someone special, is still thinking of you too? And you ask yourself if everything is still going to be ok in the morning? Does it bring sweet or bitter memories? Or how simply one moment in time that brought you together and it could also make you both drift apart?

all road leads home

Image
19 May 2020, 10pm All roads lead home is an expression I often hear but never understood it's real meaning until I had to live on my own. Some carry their homes wherever they go. Some never feel like they ever had a place to call home. Some are always looking for that perfect home. While others make do, with what they have.

old blue book

18 May 2020, 1040PM Since 2012 I have kept a log book, writing in it daily as part of my assignment for my English Creative Writing class. It has become my sort of book of rants of things I hate and don't love as much.  I kept that log book. You would call it a diary. I use to call it homework but it never felt like work. When I start to write, it's hard to describe but there is a sense of freedom. A freedom in putting words together to make sense of the world that we live in everyday.  It's not the work, it's not the money, it's not even the most grammatically correct English. However, I need a little break from being right all the time and just have little fun. Writing is fun. Like you, I been bombarded with superhero movies in the last few years, so like every good story this blog also needs an origin story. If you checked the title of this blog, then the picture below becomes obvious. Welcome to the Old Blue Book Online
